Ascent Robotics is seeking a Robotics Field Engineer to help us deploy, test, and support our robotics solutions in customer's facilities and trade shows. You will ensure that our product deployments go smoothly as well as train our customers in how to use our solutions. In this role you will also work closely with our robotics engineers to learn ins and outs of our products, provide support in product testing and debugging, and implement Proof-of-Concept demos in our office.

Responsibilities

Deploy robotic solutions in factory environments and trade shows
Troubleshoot and debug our solutions and ensure smooth field deployment and operation
Provide on-site and off-site support to our customers
Help fix software bugs reported by our customers
Provide training for our customers
Test and evaluate robotic hardware and software

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

BSc/BEng degree in a STEM field
Experience with Python and C++
Familiarity with ROS
Self-motivated learner
Experience with software testing and QA
Software debugging skills
Hands-on experience with robotic systems (robot arms, mobile robots, etc.)
Linux experience (especially: networking, file systems, processes)
English - Japanese bilingual

Plus points for any of the following

MSc/MEng degree in robotics, mechatronics, or computer science
Experience in computer vision
Experience with hardware testing / QA
Experience with deploying robots in factories
